Language Barrier Solutions (LBS) is a veteran-owned, community-driven language services organization that reimagines how we support individuals with Limited English Proficiency (LEP). Founded on the principle that equity begins with communication, LBS goes beyond traditional interpretation by offering direct assistance that guides clients through the complex systems of public services.
Rather than waiting for LEP clients to reach service providers and depend on contracted interpreters, LBS meets them where they are—providing guidance, advocacy, and immediate language support as they navigate vital services such as healthcare, DSHS benefits, housing, and legal systems. Arabic-speaking clients, for example, receive seamless support from an Arabic-speaking advisor—minimizing delays and improving outcomes. This model can be replicated for other languages as we grow our team to meet community needs.
We also offer professional translation and interpretation services for agencies, courts, and healthcare providers who require document or language support.
